I honestly have never heard of blogger. I have to use this for one of my online classes at IUPUI. Honestly i thought everything was going to be hard to do. It is actually pretty easy to use. it reminds me of facebook or myspace because how simple it is to use.

Getting to know me

Hello my name is Lindsay Marie Metcalfe. I am 20 years old but on October 25 I'll be the BIG 21!!! I am very excited for that. I really like my birthday because i was born on my dad's birthday! I grew up in a small town called Fairland. Many of you might have heard of it because the Horse track and now the casino are located there. I went to Triton Central High School and graduated in 2006. I graduated with Academic honors. I loved high school. I was involved in everything. I played volleyball, basketball and ran track. I was in student council all four years, in yearbook, National Honors Society, tailgaters, spirit club, and much much more. This will be my sencond year at IUPUI. My freshman year I went to Franklin College. I loved my teachers. I loved high school but Franklin was too much like it so i transfered here. I love this campus. When I was at Franklin i was studying athletic training, but when i transfered i started to studying nursing. the only reason i wanted to study nursing is because at the end of my freshman year my 7 month old nephew passed away. I wanted to help other mothers, fathers and babies so they didn't have to go through the same thing our family did. But as i started studying it i realized i could not see another baby die because it was so hard for our family when he passed. Even though he was so young he was still my little buddy and loved him like he was my own. I love kids, even though i don't want any of my own, i decided that i wanted to be an elementary teacher.

This summer i worked at Greenwood Parks and Recreation at a summer camp. I had so much fun. I have never loved a job so much. Right now i continue to work there as a counselor for Latch key which is an after school program. At work i would always get made fun of because I was the only person from the country. They all said i have a country accent, which i don't think i do. There are some things that I do say alittle bit diffferent than other people. Speaking of being a country girl, I am a tom boy that loves to dress girly, but i love to get on the 4-wheeler and get extremely muddy. I love playing any kind of sport.

I am a very outgoing person. I love meeting new people. I'm easy to get along with.
